A tax is a tax. One can make excuses about what it is for, but in the end it is just the King's mean coming to take your crops and animals because they can. Carbon is just another pretext. Get over it.

Correspondence to Rand Paul ...

March 8, 2011

Dear Roni Bell,

Thank you for taking the time to contact me regarding the United States tax system. I appreciate hearing your views on this issue.

There is absolutely no question that the United States income tax needs to be reformed. The burdensome tax regulations imposed by the United States Tax Code are too complicated for most Americans. Many Americans have to hire someone else to prepare their taxes, and the President continues to hire more IRS agents to collect them. This indicates a broken system.

I have stated publicly that I am open to consideration of any program or idea that simplifies the tax code and reduces the burden for all citizens. It is time to ease the burden on taxpayers and develop a system that makes sense.

Again, thank you for sharing your views with me on tax reform. Rest assured that as tax issues are debated in the Senate, I will keep your thoughts in mind.

Sincerely,

Rand Paul, MD
United States Senator

You're the first elected official to respond to us personally regards The American Consumer Tax (ACT). We'd be honored to work with you industriously eliminating income tax and transitioning in ACT! We're old, and would like to see the death of income tax precede our own!

About noon today, I had the honor of hand delivering the American Consumer Tax to Congresswoman Michele Bachmann.

Exceptionally gracious lady, she tucked ACT under her hand written talk notes. Her address to several hundred reporters and polite, enthusiastic, heals dug in Americans was BRAVO!
